3D Flic: Toronto International Stereoscopic 3D Conference & Banff World Media

Bringing together a uniquely interdisciplinary team of scientists, filmmakers and industry leaders including staff of the CFC Media Lab and other organizations, 3D FLIC (3D Film Innovation Consortium) bridges fundamental research in stereoscopic perception with the development of stereoscopic 3D (S3D) film language and production, while building the capacity of the S3D production clusters in the Greater Toronto Area.

3D Flic is organizing The Toronto International Stereoscopic 3D Conference, a one of a kind international gathering of experts in the stereoscopic 3D art and entertainment arena. 3D: In Conversation with Phil McNally

So you’re getting heat to make a 3D TV series – what do you need to know? This is a nuts-and-bolts Master Class from Captain 3D himself on what it takes to create successful, meaningful S3D properties. Keeping the producer in mind, Phil Mcnally will take us through a 3-act narrative of S3D development, starting with the language of 3D then delving deep into some of the best 3D properties on the market (and what makes them so creatively successful) and finally moving into the future of S3D.

Moderator: Ana Serrano, Director, CFC Media Lab
Speakers: Phil McNally, Stereoscopic Supervisor, DreamWorks & James Stewart, Director, Producer and Chief Creative, Geneva Film Co.
